The best Christmas parties have one thing in common: everyone is playing together. Here are 10 easy games that work for kids, teens, parents and grandparents at the same table, with almost no setup.
1. Christmas Trivia
Split into teams and read questions out loud. Mix easy questions ("What color are holly berries?") with harder ones ("On what date do many Orthodox Christians celebrate Christmas?") so everyone has a chance to score.
2. Who's Most Likely To
Read a prompt like "Who's most likely to open a present early?" and on the count of three, everyone points at someone. Guaranteed laughs, zero preparation.
3. Would You Rather
Perfect while dinner is being served. "Would you rather spend Christmas on a snowy mountain or on a sunny beach?" Everyone picks a side and explains why.
4. Christmas Bingo
Give every player a different card and call out Christmas words. Use candy or buttons as markers. Great for younger kids who can't read long questions yet.
5. Indoor Scavenger Hunt
Set a timer and send teams to find "something that sparkles", "something gold" or "something that jingles". It gets kids moving after a big meal.
6. Word Scramble
Unscramble Christmas words like SNOWMAN or MISTLETOE. The first correct sheet wins.
7. Word Search
A calm game for the quieter moments of the evening, and a lifesaver for little ones at the end of the night.
8. Draw It or Act It
Pick a card: if it says DRAW, draw it; if it says ACT, act it out with no words. Teams have 60 seconds to guess.
9. Pass the Present
Sit in a circle with one wrapped gift. Someone reads a story out loud, and every time you hear LEFT or RIGHT, the gift moves. Whoever holds it at the end keeps it!
10. Crown a Christmas Champion
Keep a score sheet going all evening. At the end, crown your family's Christmas champion. Expect a rematch next year.
